The Bartow Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is governed by a seven-member board appointed by the Bartow City Commission. The Board is responsible for oversight of redevelopment policy, financial stewardship, and implementation of the adopted CRA Redevelopment Plan.
All meetings are open to the public.
The Bartow Community Redevelopment Agency was established pursuant to Florida Statutes Chapter 163, Part III (Community Redevelopment Act of 1969).
The CRA operates as a dependent special district of the City of Bartow and functions within the legally adopted redevelopment area boundary. The agency is authorized to implement redevelopment strategies and utilize Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to address conditions of slum and blight.
The adopted redevelopment plan serves as the guiding legal framework for all CRA activities.

Regular Board Meeting
The March 15, 2026 Regular Board Meeting was called to order at 5:32 PM. All board members were present. The board approved the minutes from February 15. A public hearing was held regarding the Downtown Design Guidelines; three citizens spoke in favor. The board voted unanimously to approve the Façade Grant applications for four downtown businesses. The FY2027 budget discussion was tabled to the April meeting. The meeting adjourned at 6:55 PM.
